24 Hours in the Old Pueblo

Yes, Stan’s NoTubes will be back in cactus country for an early season roll in the cholla with 3 teams and a soloist! NoTubes Women’s Elite Team is debuting on brand new Orbea bicycles with a 4 woman relay, including big guns Kathy Sherwin hot off the Cyclocross National Championship podium and Zephanie Blasi already tearing it up early season as a Tucson local, as well as the always strong Albuquerquean Nina Baum and NoTubes development rider Kaila Hart in her first ever race as a pro. Three time champs NoTubes Weapons of Ass Destruction return to defend the 200+ coed title with not so secret weapon NoTubes/Jamis athlete Ben Sonntag, La Ruta winner and fastest lapper from last year’s Old Pueblo. Dejay Birtch heads up the Ergon NoTubes crew, in contention for most laps category, and endurance pro Karen Rishel returns to defend her solo title. Teams will be supported by mechanic Pete Shirk from Cottonwood Cycles.

Look for the NoTubes banners, the girls in pink and the guys in red at the jovial compound near 24 Hour Town. Head out to see the beautiful Southwest desert in Springtime, have a beer under the night sky and watch people race bicycles through the cactus gardens- it’s FUN! See you out there.
