Stan’s No Tubes hits the road as new co-sponsors of the AXA Equitable Cycling Team / CRCA
(New York, NY) The Stan’s No Tubes / AXA Equitable Cycling Team from New York’s Century Road Club Association is set to hit the road with another strong roster and a new concept; the first exclusively tubeless road team. The New York City based team aims to build on its 2010 success in the USA Crits Championship Series along with targeted NRC events.
While putting the final touches on the race program and the roster, Director Mike Sherry said, “We have a very strong team and an even better tuned system this season. We made a lot of changes last year in how we ran the team and we ultimately exceeded our initial goals. We are incredibly excited to build on our continued support from AXA / Equitable, a sponsor that has been incredibly enthusiastic about American racing and ultimately got us to where we are today” The main differences between last season and 2011 are the wheels provided by Stan’s No Tubes and Hutchinson tires and the much more refined presentation of the team thanks to Endo Customs.
The team ran Stan’s sealant and conversion kits on team wheels in 2010 and many of the riders credit their successful racing due to the lack of punctures in unforgiving race scenarios. The 2011 squad will be racing on the No Tubes Alpha 340 Pro wheels; a marvel of a wheel set that weighs in at a mere 1200 grams. The wheels will be paired with the latest No Tubes valve/sealant system and Hutchinson tires.
Endo Customs also partnered supplying soup to nuts design services including team kits and vehicle wraps. The program’s major returning sponsor is AXA Equitable, a leading financial protection company and a premier provider of life insurance, annuity, and investment products and services since 1859. The team will continue riding Cannondale bikes, wearing Rudy Project helmets and glasses, and Sportique Body and Skincare products. The fitness programming and testing will be powered by Performance Labs HC a leading training and bike fit company.
