Grant Ferguson Breaks Through with 4th Place World Cup Finish

From our friends at the Superior Brentjens Team

15 June 2013, Val di Sol, Italy

Grant Ferguson had a dream come true finishing in top 10, and even in 4th place, his best result ever in UCI WorldCup U23. The young rider from Scotland had a good start and was riding around 15th position in the first lap. By the second lap he was already in 4th place together with Matthias Stirnemann (SUI). Grant Ferguson was the fastest of the two riders in the last lap, leaving Stirnemann behind and finishing 4th, his best result in an UCI WorldCup U23. Kenta Gallagher had a good start coming through in 18th position, but every lap he lost position and he had to stop after the 4th lap. Youngster Paul Rodenbach came through in 45th position (coming from 70th), a good start, but he was also suffering on the climbs which threw him back to 57th position, a lap back, and 79th before he was taken out after 3 laps.
